In January 2013, the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), in conjunction with the Institute of Medicine (IOM), hosted a workshop, “Nationwide Response Issues after an Improvised Nuclear Device Attack: Medical and Public Health Considerations for Neighboring Jurisdictions.” The workshop brought together approximately 200 practitioners and subject matter experts to discuss public health implications and response to an improvised nuclear device (IND) incident. Following the workshop, NACCHO surveyed participants to determine the value of the material presented, learn what impact attending the workshop had on their planning and response efforts, and identify remaining gaps. This document contains the results of the survey.
