Periodically, NACCHO has the opportunity to fund local health departments to conduct demonstration projects to advance innovation at the local level. The Food Safety Demonstration Site Project’s report summarizes the results of 17 demonstration sites. With a little support from NACCHO, these LHDs were able to enhance training, marketing, assessment, infrastructure, foodborne illness investigation, and illness reporting and share measureable results.
