NACCHO has released the Local Board of Health National Profile containing the most up to date information on local board of health functions and characteristics. Findings provide an overview of the important role local boards of health play in our public health system, including how they serve as a link to local health departments by establishing health priorities, approving budgets, and overseeing local public health regulations.
